At the centre of our learning is our curriculum.  The intention of our curriculum is to embed a wealth of knowledge, skills and vocabulary that will empower and engage our learners.  The curriculum has been designed to highlight key learning that builds upon previous learning, expanding learners view of what is possible.  

We aim to meet the needs of all learners, supporting and challenging them to achieve their absolute best. We use a broad range of teaching strategies that take into account the ways in which children learn in order to develop their engagement, motivation and creativity.

We offer an ambitious curriculum that is broad, balanced, and goes beyond the National Curriculum.  The activities and learning are designed to encourage and develop intellectual, personal, social, and physical activities in the children.

We expect everyone to have high expectations for all our learners at Camelford Primary.  We aim to instil the importance of aiming high both academically and in their personal development.  We aim to ensure that learners leave Camelford Primary being their very best all-round selves.  

Community

We value the acceptance and equitable treatment of all people in our community. Social justice and compassion are highly regarded and actively pursued. We encourage the development of a wide range of curricular and extracurricular opportunities to develop individual talents and interests.

We value and build pride in our community, both within and outside the school.  We encourage all pupils to be strong citizens who positively contribute to society.
